How long does it take for an idea to get from Asia to the US? From my measure, four months. BBC covered “Japan develops female android” on Wednesday. It soon became the highest linked article on Technorati. There were mentions on the TV news on Thursday. P– and I saw the robot in personfour months ago in Japan at the Expo.

I read the article in the Daily News a couple of days ago. The android looked a little creepy if you asked me. Like a living mannequin or something. Did it give you and P- that feeling when you saw it in person?
I also teased my brother about this – why is it that they always make the robot a woman (with the exception of Data of Star Trek and the stuff in Isaac Asimov’s books/stories)…?
