In fact, city-wise, it's pretty fugly. Sooty, dirty, off-colored, just not nice, except for Taipei 101 and some of the Japanese owned malls. One of the guys on Forumosa.com called this piece "parachute journalism" :D. It is in a way as it hardly captures Taipei. Oh well, like I said.
